Pickled Onions

Pickled Onions go great on so many things! They are one of my favorite condiments for all types of tacos, and the apple cider + white vinegar mixture here is my favorite!

Makes enough for 4 people

Ingredients:

  • 1 Red Onion

  • 1 Cup of Water

  • 1/2 Cup White Vinegar

  • 1/2 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

  • 1/2 Tbsp Kosher Salt

  • 1 Tbsp Brown Sugar

  • 1 Garlic Clove

  • Some whole peppercorns

Step 1: Slice Onions

Carefully slice up the onions into thin strips. The thinner they are, the faster they will pickle!

Step 2: Dissolve the cure

Heat up the water and vinegar in a sauce pan, and add in the kosher salt and brown sugar. Stir until completely disolved and then allow the mixture to cool.

Step 3: Mix together

Pour the cure over the onions and put into the fridge for 2 - 12 hours.

Serve cold!
